McConnell: TPP shouldn’t come before the election

In a blow to the administration, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., publicly expressed his doubts of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) coming to a vote in Congress before the 2016 elections.

“I think the president would be making a big mistake to try to have that voted on during the election. There’s significant pushback all over the place.
